What are links?

Links are a key diffeence between producing web pages and using a word processor. On a web page we can make a link to a vast amount of information on the internet by linking other pages and anchors on other pages. We have already used one type of link when presenting pictures on our pages. HTML links to the file containing the picture and then the web browser uses that information to display the image.
